Bender

Bender is a digital and sculptural piece created by Gretchen Bender. Over time, the original television tubes and laser disc player broke down. Rampant was hired by AT&T to refurbish the sculpture and make sure it would continue to run for decades to come. Laser discs were replaced with solid state Raspberry Pis, and the tubes replaced with LCD screens with custom designed bezels to fit the sculpture. The original video content now lives on as it was designed to.
